Go Air

Go air is a low cost air carrier based in Mumbai, India. Its hub is the Mumbai international airport. It has passenger services to about 11 cities across India. The airline came into existence in June 2004 and started operations in December 2005. It looks to commoditize air travel by offering cheap air tickets. The carrier is owned and controlled by the Wadia group, the house that owns the brands Bombay dyeing and the Britannia industries. Go air mainly aims to connect the metros of the country to the other smaller cities in India. As of April 2009, it had 10 aircrafts functioning. It is a no frills airline and hence provides no complimentary meals on board but light snacks can be purchased and mineral water is free of cost.
Go Air offers cheap tickets to the fliers which can be booked online from its booking engine. Go air has strategic ties with the Singapore airlines engineering company for the maintenance needs of its aircrafts. Its tagline smart people’s airline is complemented well by its good value for money services. Over the years it has been looking to strengthen its operations in south India. Its aircrafts come in many vibrant colors.
