Indigo is a private low cost air carrier of India that provides domestic services in the country. It is based in Gurgaon, Harayana in north India. Its hub is the IGI airport in New Delhi. In the year 2008, it was adjudged the best low cost domestic carrier in India. Indigo Airlines is the latest entrant in the domestic civil aviation space in India. Owned by Mr. Rahul Bhatia, its parent company is the Inter Globe Enterprises. It has a large frequency service, connecting all the major cities of India to the major metros like Delhi and Mumbai. Like other low cost carriers it also does not have the facility of complimentary in flight meals but provides the option of buying it.
Indigo airlines was incorporated in 2006 and has since then expanded into a large network. Currently, it operates about 58 flights daily all over the country.
