Jet Airways

Jet airways is the second largest airline of India and is based in Mumbai. Its hub is the Mumbai international airport. With over 400 flights touching the sky daily, it has a huge presence in the Indian as well as the international market. More often than not, it has been adjudged as India’s best airline. It is also renowned for its excellent in flight services provided on board. It has two lost cost airlines operating under it. The company is under the administration of Mr. Naresh Goyal who controls the airways and is the largest single stakeholder. Being incorporated in 1992, it commenced its commercial operations on 5 May 1993.
Jet Airways currently has about 84 aircrafts in its fleet and has tie ups with many key international fliers. It started its international operations in 2004 with flights from Chennai to Colombo. Jet airways offers excellent value for money to its fliers and provides cheaper tickets to passengers as compared to other international fliers. In the biggest deals in the Indian aviation industry, it bought out Air Sahara and renamed it as jet lite (a low cost carrier). It has an award winning frequent flier program called jet privilege.
