Jet lite is a low cost air carrier that is based in Delhi. The Indira Gandhi international airport serves as its main hub for jet lite. It is owned by jet airways and was acquitted by jet in 2007 in one of the biggest deals in Indian aviation. Before its acquisition, it was known as air Sahara. It was incorporated in 1991 and began its international operations in December 1993. It also provides helicopters and carriers on charter basis.
Initially Jet Lite focused on north India but gradually expanded its presence all over India. It has 134 flights daily connecting the metropolises to the tier2 cities like Ahemadabad, Goa, Bangalore, Bhuwaneshar, Coimbatore, Andaman and Nicobar islands. It operates on international routes like Sharjah, Dubai, Bangkok, Islamabad and Karachi. The specialty of this airline is its cheap ticket cost which is among the lowest in the segment. But the cheap ticket cost doesn’t affect the quality of your travel. Moreover jet’s frequent flier program is also applicable here.The only difference is that there is no complimentary meal on board. It hence offers absolute value for money.
